I mean an Abandoned Bentley, what could possibly go wrong.

Nothing could go wrong. Buy it and 12valve swap it.
![]() 05/13/2020 at 15:59 |

Does it even have keys? If not, how much Bentley gonna charge you for that?

A swap from a A8 or Q7 engine would be simpler and cheaper, i wonder if anybody ever tried to swap a V12 or V10 TDI on a Bentley.

LS swapped LeMons racer.

This did not take as long as I had expected. Well done.

Good luck, would be fun if was in decent condition or you opppohiveminded a crazy issue that slowed bidding.

We all know it’s the eventual fate of expensive supercars.
![]() 05/13/2020 at 16:05 |

If you get it cheap enough just rig up a switch

Why is there water on the center console?
Me thinks this has a leaky sunroof.
That said, it would still be cool if it goes cheap enough. The V12 would be awesome but probably a PITA to fix if it’s messed up.
You know, the old school Bentleys used a 6.2L V8, and also used GM Hydro matic automatic transmissions. So I think a 6.2L LS/LT swap with a 6/8/10L90 transmission would be entirely appropriate and in keeping with the history of Bentley.

You know the old Bentleys used to use a 6.2L V8 backed up by a GM Hydramatic automatic transmission. So a 6.2L LS/LT and a newer 6/8/10L90 would be totally in keeping with the character and tradition of the car.

Im sure it was abandoned for a reason. My guess is the hooker in the trunk.
![]() 05/13/2020 at 16:17 |

So bonus hooker?

Black light in the interior would be interesting for sure.

Key is in the ignition in the photos.

Run away.
Or buy it an sell the wheels on VWVortex. Easy Flip.

I studied 12 volt electronics in tech school, and due to the complexity of modern cars the amount you would have to pay me to do that is........

Should be "fine" if you can get a chassis harness diagram and the igniton switch isn't some module on a bus line
![]() 05/13/2020 at 16:47 |

True. But there’s a reason I’m in sales now lol.

P reach, no amount of knowledge has fixed my mini coopers quirks.
I took a few semesters of," engine performance" (mostly theory and wiring), promptly decided being a mechanic was not something I wanted to continue doing.

So it is! Way over there, huh?

Parting out on VW Vortex would be interesting, those internet experts

I bought a re-titled abandoned car once.
I’m not going to say “never” again, I’m sure going to try and make it a “never”.

Abandoned with key in the ignition?....
![]() 05/13/2020 at 21:02 |
|
Probably an impounded car
![]() 05/13/2020 at 22:14 |

Come on. You can’t post that and not tell the story.
![]() 05/13/2020 at 23:50 |

W12, not V12.
![]() 05/14/2020 at 00:08 |

Yes being impounded is likely true, but what is the backstory about how the owner who got their $100,000 Bentley impounded and also left the key’s in the ignition?
